School cottage is a traditional Cotswold stone cottage, believed to be around 500 years old.
It started off as a farm workers cottage, but has been extended and improved a little over the past few centuries! Original period features, include a beamed sitting room with a beautiful open fire. A pretty garden with apple trees, large lawn and sitting area is next to open fields.
Lovely walks around the farm and along the river are possible straight from your front door. The cottage is within easy driving distance of Cotswold towns such as Fairford, Lechlade, Burford and Cirencester, making it the ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds.
The cottage has two double bedrooms and a twin room, sleeping six in total. There is a family bathroom upstairs, and downstairs you will find a shower room, plus one of the double bedrooms, making the property suitable for those who prefer not to use the stairs. Please note that the cottage still has its original, and rather steep, winding stairs!
